Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This long-term contract position is crucial for managing payroll processes across multiple states for both corporate and field employees. The role requires a detail-oriented individual proficient in payroll systems, who can thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Manage payroll operations across multiple states, complying with local tax regulations and requirements.
  • Utilize payroll systems such as Oracle and UKG Pro for data input, auditing, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with the team to document and enhance payroll processes and workflows.
  • Support employees by addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot payroll discrepancies for timely resolution.
  • Assist in onboarding and training team members on payroll systems and procedures.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Adapt to new systems and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, including multistate payroll.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems like Oracle Cloud and UKG Pro.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing complex payroll processes.
  • Solid understanding of multistate payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for employee inquiries and internal team collaboration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment (three days onsite).
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and adaptability to new systems.
  • Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.
