Description

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript to drive test automation efforts across modern software products in a regulated environment. This role will serve as the automation SME within Agile product teams, developing scalable automation solutions and supporting quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Build UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end test automation.
  • Enhance and maintain enterprise automation frameworks and reusable test components.
  • Develop API and integration tests for complex workflows and data flows.
  • Support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred).
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize test execution.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with validation, quality, and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of software test automation experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Playwright and TypeScript experience.
  • Strong API testing and integration testing experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience contributing to scalable automation frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, or Computer System Validation (CSV).
  • Experience with Cucumber/BDD frameworks.
  • Familiarity with GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar ALM tools.
