Position Overview
The Subrogation Specialist plays a critical role in the lifecycle of our cases, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of all medical liens, government claims, and final disbursements. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and has a deep understanding of personal injury case closing processes.
This role may be based in either our Tacoma or Renton office, with a hybrid work option available.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve medical subrogation claims and liens (ERISA, private insurance, hospital liens, etc.)
- Handle Medicare (MSP) claims, including conditional payment resolution and final demand negotiation
- Coordinate with providers, insurers, and government entities to ensure accurate lien payoff amounts
- Prepare and review final case accountings, ensuring all balances are verified and compliant
- Execute client disbursements in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain detailed records of lien negotiations, reductions, and communications
- Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and accounting staff to ensure seamless case closures
- Identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively to avoid delays in settlement distribution
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience handling:
- Medical subrogation
- Medicare claims (including MSP process)
- Final accounting and balance verification
- Client disbursements in a plaintiff personal injury setting
- Strong understanding of lien resolution processes and negotiation strategies
- Proficiency with case management and accounting systems (experience with PI-specific software is a plus)
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $70,000 -- $95,000 DOE
- 4 weeks PTO (inclusive of sick leave)

Requirements
- 3+ YOE handling Personal Injury Subrogation (law firm or insurance company)
- Ability to commute to Renton or Tacoma for on site work
