We connect consumers to content, enable publishers to build audiences, and provide advertisers with unique engagement capabilities. From day one, you'll make a valuable contribution in a fast-growing public company where everyone plays an active role.

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Analyst, Ads Forecasting & Inventory Yield, to join our team of forecasting and yield specialists. This role focuses on maximizing profitable ad revenue across Roku's AVOD ecosystem through analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative skills, experience with large-scale advertising data, cross-functional fluency, and the ability to leverage AI and automation. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Ad Forecasting & Inventory Yield, within Revenue Operations.

This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY, requiring in-office presence Monday through Thursday, with the option for remote work on Fridays.

The estimated annual salary for this position in New York is between $140,000 - $150,000. Compensation is based on factors such as skill set, certifications, and location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What you'll be doing

  • Own and enhance end-to-end forecast reporting (demand, supply, yield), providing insights into revenue, gross profit, sell-through, fill rate, and other key KPIs.
  • Manage global demand forecasts and in-quarter revenue pacing, developing tools for scenario analysis, what-if modeling, and performance tracking.
  • Build analytical frameworks to measure forecast performance, identify gaps, and quantify risks and opportunities across the ads business.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Sales leadership to translate forecast and inventory insights into pricing, packaging, and yield strategies.
  • Proactively identify under-utilized inventory segments and recommend monetization improvements.
  • Standardize, centralize, and define new metrics for clear visibility into business health from an inventory, yield, and product perspective.
  • Build and maintain a scalable dashboard suite, owning the roadmap for enhancements, tech debt, and automation priorities.
  • Partner with Business Automation, Data Engineering, and Product teams to ensure reporting requirements are integrated into data models and pipelines.
  • Define escalation paths within Revenue Operations for data outages, dashboard issues, and forecast anomalies, including SLAs and communication norms.
  • Create documentation and SOPs for dashboards, reports, analytical workflows, and AI-assisted processes; mentor junior analysts.
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and strategic insights for new ad units, formats, packaging, and business development initiatives.

We're excited if you have

Experience

  • 5--8 years in digital advertising, streaming/CTV, or related fields in an inventory, yield, revenue operations, forecasting, or business analytics role.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Finance, or Product teams in a high-growth media/tech or streaming environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading projects end-to-end, from problem definition through implementation, change management, and impact measurement.

Domain & Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of digital ad serving tools, industry metrics, and terminology; programmatic buying/selling and auction dynamics experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of yield and monetization strategy (floor pricing, packaging, auction dynamics, supply/demand balancing).
  • High proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, modeling, scenario analysis) and PowerPoint for executive-level presentations.
  • Hands-on SQL experience for data extraction and transformation.
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) for dashboard development and self-service analytics.

AI & Automation Proficiency

  • Demonstrated experience using AI/LLM tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate data analysis, automate workflows, and generate or debug code.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, bias, and business applicability.
  • Experience or strong interest in applying AI to forecasting, anomaly detection, scenario modeling, or other analytical use cases.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering or integrating AI tools into analytical workflows is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics succinctly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Autonomous work style with a bias for creative, data-driven solutions to ambiguous problems.

Characteristics of Success at Roku

  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Positive and collaborative, building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Non-political, focused on business objectives.
  • Results-oriented with a bias toward action and measurable impact.
  • Practical, balancing rigor with speed.
  • Hands-on, engaging with details while maintaining strategic perspective.

If you thrive at the intersection of analytics, forecasting, and business strategy, and are excited to use both traditional and AI-powered tools to shape how Roku manages and monetizes ad inventory at scale, we encourage you to apply.
