Cloud Solution Architect

The Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions that support the organization's infrastructure, applications, and business objectives. This role provides technical leadership in cloud architecture, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud environments.

The Cloud Solution Architect collaborates with engineering, DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver robust cloud solutions and guide cloud adoption strategies in a fully remote environment.

This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to cloud environments
  • Develop cloud strategies, architecture frameworks, and best practices
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to build cloud-native applications
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, tools, and services
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
  • Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8--12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or infrastructure design
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and distributed systems
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Java
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus or Datadog
  • Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security best practices
