Job Summary
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work. You will have the opportunity to enhance your drafting skills within a multidisciplinary team, preparing design drawings based on provided input. This role involves utilizing computer-aided drafting skills with hands-on training in 3D design software like AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation. You will create detailed drawings showing proposed installations relative to existing facilities, adhering to exact specifications and dimensions. Field work may include accompanying experienced designers on site visits to gather project information. You may also explain drawings to vendors and construction contractors to facilitate design adjustments.
Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
- 8 years of drafting/design experience using standard computer-aided drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD or MicroStation).
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer assistance.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for creating technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Understanding of engineering science and technology applications, including relating equipment to technical designs.

Compensation Range
$74,750.00 - $115,120.00

Sargent & Lundy provides compensation ranges in compliance with all local and state regulations. Total compensation includes base salary/hourly rate and benefits. Eligibility for a yearly discretionary bonus may apply.
