Job description

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Python Developer for our client, a leading provider of networking, voice, and AI solutions! This is a full-time, direct hire position open to remote candidates (PST preferred).

POSITION OVERVIEW

Build and maintain the integrations that power the business. Support internal operations platform, which brings together data and workflows from core business systems, and build and maintain integrations across the CRM and cloud-based SaaS platforms. Partner closely with the internal platform developer and CTO on a small, hands-on team, where clear, open communication matters more than working heads-down in a silo.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain backend integrations between internal systems, CRM, and SaaS platforms.
  • Work with REST APIs, authentication, JSON payloads, data mapping, and service-to-service communication.
  • Contribute to internal Python-based operations platform.
  • Manage code through GitHub, including branches, pull requests, and code review.
  • Help improve reliability, maintainability, and documentation for internal tools and integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid Python fundamentals and some practical experience building backend scripts, services, automations, or integrations.
  • Comfort working in a Linux development environment (this is where we develop day to day).
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and backend data flows.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub, including repositories, branches, and pull requests.
  • Comfort working in Visual Studio Code.
  • Strong communication habits, including asking questions, sharing progress, and collaborating through code review.
  • Microsoft Azure Container Apps or container experience with Docker a plus.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD workflows preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This full-time position offers an annual base salary up to $110k, commensurate with experience. The organization provides a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage in addition to paid time off.
