About the Role

No base salary. Fully remote. Work on your own schedule.

We're looking for a senior, hands-on startup sales leader with deep experience selling FinOps or cloud cost management products into engineering-led organizations.

This is an early opportunity to help shape the go-to-market motion, sales strategy, and product roadmap of a next-generation FinOps platform focused on real-time cloud cost intelligence, tagless workload-level attribution, AI workload visibility, and cloud cost audits.

This is a commission-only role (20% of first-year revenue). If you can consistently close real FinOps deals, the upside is unlimited.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → technical validation → close
  • Sell Sentrilite's FinOps platform to:
    • Mid-market and enterprise customers running on AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud, or hybrid environments
    • FinOps practitioners, Platform Engineering teams, Cloud Cost Engineering leads, and Engineering Leadership
    • Companies with growing cloud bills, multi-cloud architectures, or scaling AI workloads
  • Lead cloud cost audits and engagements that surface attribution gaps, egress drift, and AI cost exposure
  • Partner closely with the founder and engineering team on:
    • Technical demos and proof-of-concepts
    • Customer feedback and roadmap input
    • Pricing and deal structuring
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline
  • Drive expansion and renewals for accounts you close
  • Help define early GTM strategy and sales motion

What You'll Sell

Sentrilite offers a unified, lightweight platform for cloud cost intelligence and FinOps:

  • Cloud Cost Intelligence: Tagless real-time attribution of compute and egress costs at the workload, service, and process level. No manual tagging required.
  • Cloud Cost Audit: One-time engagement that uncovers hidden waste, untagged spend, and egress drift. Free for the first node, 15% of identified savings on multi-node environments.
  • AI Workload Visibility: Automatic detection of outbound calls to OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, and other AI providers. Catches Shadow AI and surfaces per-workload AI spend before it lands on the bill.
  • Multi-cloud egress monitoring with real-time alerts on spikes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in one or more of:
    • FinOps platforms (Cloudability, Vantage, CloudHealth, Apptio, Anodot, etc.)
    • Cloud cost management or optimization tools
    • Cloud infrastructure platforms with a cost or efficiency angle
    • Observability platforms with cost or FinOps positioning
  • Proven track record selling to technical buyers:
    • FinOps Practitioners and FinOps Foundation members
    • VP Engineering, Platform Engineering Leaders, SRE Leads
    • Cloud Cost Engineering teams
    • CFO or Finance leaders on the buying committee
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost mechanics:
    • Compute, storage, egress pricing models across AWS, Azure, GCP
    • Tagging strategies and their failure modes
    • Multi-cloud cost attribution challenges
    • Emerging AI cost categories (token spend, inference cost, agentic workflows)
  • Highly self-directed with a founder / operator mindset

Compensation

  • Commission-only: up to 20% of first-year revenue per deal
  • Paid monthly on collected revenue
  • No cap on earnings (unlimited upside)
