Serco supports the US Navy with Navy Physical Access Control Systems (NPACS) and is seeking an exceptionally detailed Engineering Technical Senior Supervisor to support US Navy programs that require extensive experience performing in-depth systems integration, configuration management, implementation and deployment, test readiness review and operational validation.
This senior-level role candidate will provide technical leadership for Government-directed activities involving the planning, integration, execution, and oversight of complex systems and processes, ensuring compliance with program requirements, regulatory standards, and mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Conduct site assessments and infrastructure surveys to document existing configurations, field modifications, and system interconnectivity, producing updated redlines and comprehensive Installation Design Plan (IDP) packages.
- Lead engineering and installation teams across design, integration, fabrication, and deployment, coordinating with government representatives to validate requirements and ensure accurate procurement.
- Translate customer objectives into executable engineering plans and field packages, driving on-time delivery, reducing integration issues, and providing timely, actionable status reporting to program leadership and government stakeholders.
- Review IDP baselines with all teams to develop accurate installation packages to ensure alignment with approved requirements and operational needs that identify and mitigate potential risks preventing schedule delays and mission creep.
- Provide installation oversight, test readiness review and operational validation of upgraded systems.
You will also be relied upon to guide and assist in the development of additional Engineering Technicians to perform site surveys and assessments, data capture and confirmation of all existing systems and interconnectivity. You will ensure all deployment teams are properly trained in the installation/deployment of all systems and sub-assemblies, and that sustainment technicians are proficient in the use of troubleshooting to maintain system operability.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active or current DoW Secret clearance.
- A U.S. Citizenship.
- A High school diploma/GED.
- 10 years supervisory experience in the area of technical project leadership with groups of 10 or more.
- 8 years' experience in providing design, installation, and systems integration directly related to Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection ESS Systems.
- 8 years' experience in field engineering, configuration management, systems integration, operational testing, and sustainment of various DoD ESS and C4ISR programs.
- 8 years of direct experience planning and executing retrofit, upgrade and sustainment of Navy Physical Access Control Systems including but not limited to:
- Automated Vehicle Gates and Barriers
- Automated Pedestrian Turnstiles
- Video Management Systems (IP Based CCTV)
- Vehicle and pedestrian detection sensors
- Power distribution and associated interconnectivity
- Standard Operating Procedures
- TRR and SOVT
- Excellent communications and analytical skills; able to meet with program officials and influence actions needed to meet technical program milestones.
- Experience briefing senior leaders.
- Proficient with MS Office products i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- The ability to travel up to 75%.
