About Share Our Strength

Since 1984, Share Our Strength has led the fight against hunger and poverty by inspiring and organizing individuals and businesses to share their strengths. Today, through the No Kid Hungry campaign, Share Our Strength is ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need. No child should go hungry in America; we’re on our way to making that a reality and we want you to join us. We’re bold, creative, always open to new ideas, and 100% dedicated to our mission.

The Role

As a member of the Social Media Team, the Senior Manager, Social Media Content leads organic content strategy across all channels for the No Kid Hungry and Share Our Strength brands. This role brings together editorial instinct, creator relationships, and platform-specific knowledge to tell compelling stories that move national audiences—from high-production campaign moments to fast-moving, real-time content that rapidly positions organizational messaging.

The ideal candidate is as comfortable setting strategy in a planning meeting as they are talking with creators and celebrities to create content or cutting together a timely trend video.

This position is preferably based in Washington, DC, but could be fully remote for the right candidate. The salary range is $82k–$91k.

  • Develop on-the-ground content plans for events and campaign activations to capture live content.

Influencer & Creator Partnerships

  • Manage and set strategy for all organic content creator and influencer relationships.
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors to expand brand awareness and mission impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 4–7 years of experience in social media content creation with demonstrated progression.
  • Hands-on experience with short-form video editing using mobile-first tools.
