Role Overview

• Location: Fully Remote - working EST Time Zone

• Job Type: 6-12 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced SAP GTS Consultant to design, implement, and support SAP Global Trade Services solutions to streamline our global trade compliance and customs processes. This role is part of a large-scale Process & Systems Transformation program moving to SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and map business processes to SAP GTS functionality.
• Configure and customize SAP GTS modules, including Compliance Management, Customs Management, Risk Management, and Electronic Compliance Reporting.
• Support end-to-end implementation, including system configuration, integration with SAP S/4HANA, and testing.
• Deliver functional specifications for forms, reports, enhancements, conversion programs, integrations, and workflows.
• Assist data and process teams in data mapping and testing activities.
• Mentor less experienced team members in the "Plan to Deliver" business process hierarchy.
• Document common solutions, including configuration documents, process flows, and data policies.
• Possible travel of 10% - 20% domestically.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience configuring and supporting SAP GTS in S/4HANA.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent combination of work experience and schooling.
• Working knowledge of GTS business processes and technical system knowledge in at least three of the following areas:
  • Implementing SAP GTS Module (A&D industry experience is beneficial).
  • Compliance Management and Customs Management.
  • Integration of SAP GTS with SAP EWM and other logistics modules.
  • Intrastat Reporting and customs valuation processes.
  • Export and Import Legal Control processes (license determination, embargo checks).
  • Risk Management (Preference Management, risk assessments).
  • Electronic Compliance Reporting (EDI/XML communication).
  • Maintaining compliance master data (ECCNs, HTS codes).
  • Implementing interfaces to 3rd party logistics providers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
• Experience working on large, complex A&D enterprise projects or similarly regulated organizations.
• Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development.
