PIM Implementation Expert

Responsibilities:

• Direct the comprehensive configuration of PIM features, attributes, workflows, hierarchies, and user roles.
• Create and manage data models tailored to support multi-channel retail requirements (e.g., eCommerce, in-store).
• Design and enhance automated workflows for product data enrichment, approvals, and publication.
• Collaborate with technical leads to establish preview functionalities for the PIM system in a pre-built staging environment.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure precise migration of current product data.
• Develop and oversee API connections, scripts, and data pipelines to ensure smooth data flow to and from the PIM.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges during and post-implementation.
• Investigate and develop PIM AI capabilities for product attribution, including data extraction from PDFs and image recognition.
• Monitor platform performance and identify potential enhancements in configuration, automation, and user experience.
• Stay informed on PIM vendor updates and best practices to optimize the platform.
• Document technical configurations, workflows, and integration points for future training and reference.
• Work closely with business and product managers to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support user training by creating technical documentation, configuration guides, and process diagrams.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and support to super-users and internal IT teams.

Requirements:

Must have:

• Over 5 years of technical experience in deploying or managing enterprise PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Inriver, Akeneo, Riversand, Informatica).
• Proficient in configuring PIM functionalities, workflows, and integrations.
• Strong knowledge of data models, attributes, taxonomies, and governance practices.
• Adept in APIs and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) along with data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
• Familiarity with ETL processes and integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Data Fusion, Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities with a focus on process improvement.
• Experience in retail, eCommerce, or consumer goods sectors is a plus.
• Understanding of related enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, DAM, eCommerce, CMS platforms).
• Exposure to agile or DevOps environments for managing system modifications and releases.

In this role, you will be our technical subject matter expert, ensuring that the PIM system is effectively implemented, optimized, and maintained to meet the needs of our merchandising, eCommerce, and marketing teams. As an ideal candidate, you bring hands-on technical expertise in PIM platforms, data modeling, API integrations, and enterprise systems, along with a proven ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. This position is fully remote, and we operate in the EST time zone.
