Job description

What if every decision you make at work makes someone else's experience at work better?

At SOSi, the HR Generalist exists for one driving purpose: to make the employee experience exceptional. Not adequate. Not compliant. Exceptional. You'll be the person employees trust, the advisor managers rely on, and the force behind programs that make people feel seen, supported, and set up to succeed. If you believe that a thriving workforce is an organization's greatest competitive advantage, and you want to play an active role in creating our culture, this position and our team are calling your name.

What you'll do

Every touchpoint in the employee journey is an opportunity to get it right, and you'll own significant pieces of that journey. From the moment someone joins SOSi through every milestone along the way, you'll be designing, delivering, and continuously improving the experiences that shape how people feel about their work and their future here.

You'll bring that same energy to the day-to-day:

  • Champion a seamless, human-centered onboarding experience that turns new hires into committed contributors from day one.
  • Drive employee engagement through SOSi IGNITE --- creating experiences that foster connection across the business, regardless of location.
  • Partner with managers to elevate their leadership through coaching, performance management, and people-first guidance.
  • Serve as a trusted, approachable resource for employees and managers on HR practices, company policy, and employment law.
  • Identify and resolve employee relations issues with sound judgment, empathy, and a clear eye for compliance.
  • Support organizational development efforts that align people strategy with business goals.
  • Keep HR operations running smoothly --- employee changes, professional development requests, separations, and everything in between.
  • Foster a culture where collaboration, trust, and growth aren't just values on a wall --- they're felt every day.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field --- or equivalent experience.
  • Two+ years of progressive HR experience with a genuine passion for the employee experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law.
  • The ability to read people, teams, and organizational dynamics with cultural intelligence.
  • Sound judgment and the composure to stay steady when priorities shift fast.
  • Clear, confident communication that works across every level of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Absolute discretion with sensitive and confidential information.

Bonus points for

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or large-scale service contracts.
  • Background in organizations of 500+ employees.
  • Working knowledge of the Service Contract Act (SCA).

The environment

This is a fast-paced, high-variety role where the stakes are real and the work is meaningful. Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%), and some non-traditional hours may come up as the mission demands. Light physical tasks up to 25 lbs may be involved.

Hybrid work schedule with 2 days in office and 3 days of remote work.
