An AI-focused research and technology company is seeking a Junior Investment Analyst to support the development of next-generation financial intelligence systems. This is a flexible, project-based freelance opportunity ideal for professionals with early experience in investment banking, equity research, or buy-side analysis who are interested in the intersection of finance and AI.

In this role, you'll help train and evaluate advanced AI models by applying real-world investment analysis, valuation expertise, and financial reasoning across a variety of market scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct equity, sector, and macroeconomic research
• Build and interpret financial models including DCFs, comparable company analysis, and scenario modelling
• Analyse earnings reports, company filings, and market data
• Support development of investment theses and risk assessments
• Review and assess AI-generated financial analysis for accuracy and reasoning quality
• Collaborate with senior finance and AI specialists to improve model outputs and datasets

Key Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in:
  • Investment Banking
  • Equity Research
  • Buy-Side / Asset Management
  • Financial Analysis
• Strong understanding of:
  • Financial statements
  • Valuation methodologies
  • Investment research processes
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

• CFA Level I or II candidacy
• Exposure to public equities or portfolio management
• Experience with Python, SQL, or data analysis tools
