About the Company:
Our client is a high-performance digital marketing agency specializing in paid social creative for DTC and omnichannel brands with significant monthly ad spend. They focus on producing conversion-driven content for platforms like Meta and TikTok, combining data, creative strategy, and rapid testing to scale results. Their work has delivered substantial revenue growth and consistently improved creative performance across a diverse portfolio of brands.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly creative and performance-driven Video Editor who doesn't just execute edits, but thinks in video. This role goes beyond technical execution---you will interpret creative briefs, make independent editorial decisions, and craft high-converting video ads optimized for paid social platforms.
You will work closely with creative strategists who provide the concept, messaging, and structure---but you will be responsible for selecting the right visuals, pacing, and storytelling approach to bring each idea to life. The ideal candidate understands what makes content convert, knows how to hook attention instantly, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit high-converting video ads (15--60 seconds) for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts using UGC, testimonials, product demos, and B-roll
- Produce 12--15 video concepts per week across multiple brands while maintaining consistent quality
- Interpret creative briefs independently and select the most effective footage from asset libraries (Google Drive, DAM systems, etc.)
- Apply direct response frameworks, including strong hooks, benefit-driven storytelling, social proof sequencing, and conversion-focused CTAs
- Edit in a native, platform-first style aligned with TikTok and Reels aesthetics (organic, authentic, scroll-stopping content)
- Deliver multiple creative variations (hooks, pacing, CTAs) for A/B testing
- Incorporate feedback quickly and efficiently as part of an iterative creative process
- Use AI tools (e.g., ElevenLabs or similar) to generate voiceovers and enhance production workflows
- Leverage AI for captioning, subtitles, and other efficiency improvements
- Stay updated on emerging AI tools and suggest workflow optimizations
- Source music, sound effects, and overlays to enhance performance
- Export platform-optimized videos with correct formats, aspect ratios, and safe zones
- Maintain well-organized project files across multiple brand accounts
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience editing paid social or direct-response video content (Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both high-performing ads and native-style social content
- Proven ability to work from creative briefs and make independent editorial decisions
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus)
- Experience with AI voiceover tools (e.g., ElevenLabs or similar)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing workflows, captioning tools, or emerging production technologies
- Deep understanding of direct response principles: hooks, pacing, benefit stacking, social proof, and CTAs
- Ability to handle high output (12--15 videos per week) without compromising quality
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Google Drive, Slack, and Asana
- Access to personal editing setup (hardware and software)
- Strong written English skills for daily communication with international teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with DTC ecommerce brands with significant paid social budgets
- Understanding of creative performance metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, etc.)
- Motion graphics and After Effects skills for advanced animations and overlays
- Experience using DAM systems (Recharm, Frame.io, or similar)
- UGC editing experience with a strong sense of authenticity and performance
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive compensation based on experience and skill level
- Full-time contract with consistent workload and long-term stability
- Opportunity to work with high-growth brands and performance-focused teams
- Fast-paced, collaborative, and creative work environment
- Career growth opportunities as the company continues to scale
