About the role
We're hiring a Senior Accountant to join us and take ownership of core accounting operations. You'll play a central role in our close process, financial reporting, and continuous improvement efforts - working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to keep our numbers accurate, insightful, and timely.
What you'll do
- Lead key parts of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
- Drive process improvements and automation
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Support sales tax audits, compliance, and technical accounting matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- At least 3 years of relevant US accounting experience
- Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals --- you know your debits and credits cold
- Ability to own deadlines and prioritize without constant direction
- Analytical mindset - you don't just report numbers, you interpret them
- Comfortable speaking up with ideas and improvements
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Bonus points
- US sales tax filing experience
- SQL or Python proficiency
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Shopify, Bill.com, and/or Ramp
