Job description

About the role

We're hiring a Senior Accountant to join us and take ownership of core accounting operations. You'll play a central role in our close process, financial reporting, and continuous improvement efforts - working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to keep our numbers accurate, insightful, and timely.

What you'll do

  • Lead key parts of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
  • Drive process improvements and automation
  • Evaluate and strengthen internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Support sales tax audits, compliance, and technical accounting matters
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least 3 years of relevant US accounting experience
  • Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals --- you know your debits and credits cold
  • Ability to own deadlines and prioritize without constant direction
  • Analytical mindset - you don't just report numbers, you interpret them
  • Comfortable speaking up with ideas and improvements
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Bonus points

  • US sales tax filing experience
  • SQL or Python proficiency
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Shopify, Bill.com, and/or Ramp

What you'll get

Our values are the light that guides us --- and they shape the kind of place this is to work:

  • Trust first --- Real ownership over processes and outcomes, with the flexibility to manage your own work
  • Challenge with purpose --- A team that values input, not just output, and feedback that makes the work (and you) better
  • Own it --- Exposure to leadership and strategic conversations, where what you do visibly moves the business forward
  • We > me --- A collaborative team that checks egos at the door and wins together
  • Level up --- Space to grow, experiment, and build skills --- because growth here is a mindset, not a phase
