Job description

We are seeking a PPT Designer who can create visually engaging, instructionally aligned PowerPoint presentations that support math instructional scripts and teaching videos. This role combines visual design, instructional support, and production quality assurance to ensure presentations are accurate, accessible, and aligned with our visual guidelines. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and skilled at translating complex math concepts into clear, effective visuals that support student understanding and instructional goals.

Responsibilities

  • Designing clear, engaging, and pedagogically sound PowerPoint slides to support instructional scripts
  • Transforming complex math concepts into easy-to-understand diagrams, animations, and other visual aids
  • Maintaining a consistent visual style aligned with company branding and instructional design principles
  • Ensuring all visual elements are accessible, including proper contrast, font sizes, and layout considerations for diverse learners and align with ADA guidelines
  • Collaborating with the Script Designer, as needed, to ensure instructional visuals align with the instructional goals of the script
  • Revising and refining slides based on feedback from internal teams and stakeholders
  • Adapting slide visuals to reflect grade-level appropriate visuals and instructional scaffolds
  • Maintaining well-structured file management and documentation for easy updates and scalability
  • Ensuring mathematical notation, symbols, and representations are precise and aligned with instructional goals
  • Conducting self-reviews and quality checks to catch errors in spelling, layout, formatting, and instructional consistency prior to submission
  • Aligning PPT presentations with teaching video guidelines
  • Strategically plan weekly assignments to maximize efficiency

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience designing instructional or educational presentations, preferably in K-12 education or math-related content
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and elementary math pedagogy
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, including slide design, formatting, animations, and visual organization
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts through clear and effective visual design
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality
  • Understanding of accessibility and readability best practices for instructional materials
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback effectively
  • Strong organizational and file management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Comfort working with mathematical notation, symbols, and visual representations

Preferred

  • Experience supporting elementary or middle school math instruction
  • Experience creating visuals for educational videos or digital learning products
  • Experience working in content production, publishing, or curriculum development environments
  • Familiarity with design tools or asset creation platforms beyond PowerPoint (e.g., Google Slides, Adobe tools, Figma, Canva, etc.)
  • Ability to create or adapt scaffolded visuals for diverse learners and grade levels

Job Details

Experience Requirements

  • Microsoft PowerPoint: 2 years (Required)
  • Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Teaching Grade 4 or 5 elementary math: 3 years (Required)
