Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

Locations: 100% Remote

About The Role

SS&C is establishing a unified Sales Data Lake on AWS to consolidate data from over 6 Salesforce instances and various tools across more than 40 acquired business units ($96T AUM), creating a single source of truth. In this role, you will design ETL pipelines, define infrastructure as code, implement entity resolution for a Unified Client 360, and build executive dashboards, all within a security-first engineering culture. You will receive training on Claude Code as part of our AI-augmented engineering program.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue (PySpark) for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from Salesforce and proprietary sources into Amazon Redshift.
• Author and manage all cloud infrastructure using Terraform (including modules, state management, and CI/CD), provisioning resources such as Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, and KMS.
• Implement AWS Entity Resolution to deduplicate and link client records across Salesforce tenants, developing matching workflows with confidence scoring at an enterprise scale.
• Build interactive QuickSight dashboards and internal web applications (React + Python/Node.js) for pipeline monitoring and consolidated sales intelligence.
• Implement data classification, encryption, access controls, and SIEM integration in alignment with Salesforce hardening standards (SSO/MFA, OAuth, API throttling).
• Adopt Claude Code for AI-augmented development, progressing through SS&C's Copilot → Navigator → Autopilot competency tiers.

Required Experience

• BS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of cloud data engineering experience, with at least 3 years specifically on AWS.
• Proficiency in AWS Glue (PySpark), Redshift, S3, and IAM.
• Production experience with Terraform (modules, state management).
• Full-stack development skills: Python, React/Vue, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of Salesforce data models and integration APIs.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of security best practices: IAM, encryption, VPC, and compliance controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics).
• Experience with AWS Entity Resolution, Lake Formation, or MDM.
• Familiarity with financial services environments, SOC 2, or SOX compliance.
• Experience with data visualization tools like QuickSight, Tableau, or Looker.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration.
• Experience with AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Experience in multi-tenant SaaS or M&A technology integration.
• Familiarity with CASB, DLP, and cloud security monitoring tools.

Actual base salary is determined by various factors including relevant skills, prior experience, education, performance, and location.

New York: The expected base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000 USD.

Employees may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and/or equity awards (e.g., RSUs, stock options) based on individual and company performance.
