Salary

  • $5,229 - $8,014 per month (Non-PERS Rate)
  • $5,544 - $8,495 per month (PERS Rate)

What You Will Do

We are recruiting for individuals to join our Elections team. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies. In this role, you will provide regulatory compliance support and enforcement of Oregon election law, including:

  • Interpreting and applying Oregon campaign finance laws, administrative rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Teaching filers how to submit filings on ORESTAR.
  • Explaining election laws and rules to the public and filers.
  • Reviewing filings for legal sufficiency.
  • Conducting investigations into possible election law violations.
  • Making recommendations about the outcome of investigations.
  • Issuing civil penalties for non-compliance.
  • Answering the public's questions about registering to vote and voting.

To Qualify

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every desired qualification. Your application must demonstrate education and/or experience in the following:

  • Four years of experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations. Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.

Note: College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.
