Position Overview

We are seeking a professional to join our Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI) team. This position follows a hybrid work model.

What You Will Do

You will provide counsel and guidance to school districts to increase school Medicaid billing. This position is also responsible for coordinating supports that build the capacity of districts and programs to determine the need for and provide related services under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA).

Typical Duties Include

  • Provide technical assistance, training, and compliance support to school districts and Education Service Districts to improve School Medicaid billing and ensure alignment with federal and state requirements such as the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
  • Coordinate and lead IDEA and Section 504 health services efforts by building statewide and district capacity, analyzing program effectiveness, and supporting continuous improvement of related services.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with state, federal, and local stakeholders to align policy, improve Medicaid systems, and support statewide implementation.
  • Design and improve School Medicaid programs and strategies by analyzing data, developing resources, resolving policy issues, and advancing efforts to expand and sustain Medicaid billing in schools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program; and four years experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • OR any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of and experience with School-Based Health Services (SBHS) Medicaid.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply an equity-centered, human-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality training and technical assistance.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across agencies and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
