The Job

We are looking for an experienced Art Director with a diverse and excellent portfolio and demonstrated leadership ability. This role would report to a Creative Director. Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Ideation, concepting and execution of creative content such as:
    • Digital demand content (social media, advertising, email, etc)
    • Developing brand identity
    • Motion design (concepting, designing, and storyboarding for handoff to animators--although not normally animation itself)
    • Layout design for ebooks or print collateral
    • Art-direction of photo and video shoots
    • Web design
    • Presentation design
  • Leadership and mentoring of younger creatives (this position may have direct reports)
  • Providing feedback and direction in reviews of work to ensure excellence, creative innovation and work that meets the goals of the client and adheres to brand requirements
  • Presenting and articulate creative work to clients and interfacing directly to provide rationale for the work and coordinate feedback
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget
  • Watch and help balance workload of designers to avoid underutilization or overload

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • 6 years design experience working with major brands
  • BFA degree in Graphic Design, or equivalent experience
  • Based in the US with English fluency
  • Mastery of creative software (Figma, Illustrator, inDesign, Photoshop, etc)
  • Articulate, personable communication skills to build strong relationships with clients
  • An eye for detail and careful attention to project requirements
  • A passion for good design

Salary: $120,000/Annually
