The company is investing heavily in continuing to build a modern payments infrastructure designed to create a more seamless experience for merchants and partners.
They're now hiring a senior Risk & Underwriting executive to lead the full risk organization across underwriting, chargebacks, compliance, and risk operations. This person will play a critical role in shaping how the embedded payments business scales, partnering closely with executive leadership, banking partners, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead underwriting and risk decisions across the merchant portfolio, balancing growth with portfolio performance.
- Build and improve scalable risk frameworks using data, automation, and operational insight.
- Oversee chargebacks, compliance, and banking partner relationships across the payments business.
- Partner closely with go-to-market teams to support expansion into new and emerging merchant verticals.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in payments risk, underwriting, fraud, or compliance leadership.
- Background within PayFac, embedded payments, or vertical SaaS payment environments.
- Proven experience managing merchant portfolio risk, including higher-risk segments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional risk teams.
