About the Role

StratusLIVE is seeking a Solution Engineer to serve as the technical expert and trusted advisor throughout the sales process. In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to help nonprofit organizations evaluate technology solutions that improve fundraising, donor engagement, workplace giving, and operational efficiency.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys translating business challenges into practical technology solutions and thrives in a customer-facing, pre-sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand client goals, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to nonprofit organizations
  • Support RFP responses, proposals, and technical presentations
  • Address technical questions and solution architecture discussions during the evaluation process
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by sharing market feedback with Product and Leadership teams
  • Help ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation and customer success
  • Contribute technical expertise to webinars, case studies, thought leadership content, and sales enablement materials

AI & Technology

StratusLIVE embraces modern AI-powered workflows. Successful candidates will be comfortable leveraging tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other emerging technologies to improve efficiency, automate documentation, accelerate RFP responses, and support customer-facing activities.

What We're Looking For

  • 7 years of Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Technical Pre-Sales experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise software, SaaS, CRM, fundraising, or nonprofit technology sales
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience leading product demonstrations and technical discovery sessions
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
  • Proven success partnering with Sales teams to help win new business
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising, donor management, CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or Blackbaud is highly desirable
  • Passion for helping mission-driven organizations achieve greater impact
