Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 -- $100,000 annually, based on experience.

Summary
The Project Architect leads technical production efforts in collaboration with the Project Manager and other members of the team. Implements the design intent of projects into a comprehensive set of construction documents commencing with schematic design through construction administration and close out.
Primary Function
Serve as a leader in the production of construction documents, by working directly in Revit to produce plans and specifications as well as delegating to and guiding Project Coordinator efforts. Establish detailed work plans to meet project milestones and monitor time spent during production phases.
Major Areas of Responsibilities
Code Compliance
- Analyze code and agency regulations, planning and occupancy studies; prepare, evaluate or review design layouts and options.
- Conduct conferences with regulatory officials and prepare strategies to address interpretative issues related to building regulations.
Technical
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions, products, and assemblies that best meet the client's needs.
- Meet with Principal, Project and Design Manager regularly for input on QAQC, constructability and other technical requirements.
Construction Administration
- Serve as primary point of contact for GC, attend construction meetings, conduct field visits and generate field reports.
- Leads RFIs and submittals, coordinating with Project Manager on design direction.
Coordination
- Communication and coordination with Project and Design team and external consultants to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
- Proactively coordinate with GC, fabricators, manufacturers, consultants, etc., as needed during the Construction Administration phase.
Software and Skills Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Architecture is required.
- Licensure or licensure track is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Healthcare projects is ideal.
- Proficiency in Revit preferred (5+ years of experience).
- Strong communication, time management, and organization skills.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements required.
- 6+ years of architectural project experience, including 5+ years of post-graduate experience developing technical documents.
- Working knowledge of e-Builder and related Construction Admin Software is a plus.
- Acceptance of salary range.
- Ability to legally work in the US.
Time Allotment
- 80% project related
- 10% business development
- 10% administrative or as otherwise determined by the Principal
Physical Demands
This position will require local travel to all project and client locations, seminar locations, conferences, etc. Occasional out of state travel may be required. The FSLA Status of this position is EXEMPT.
