Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications, APIs, web services, and databases. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Ruby, Cucumber, Cypress, API testing, and test automation framework development. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery while driving automation best practices and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Object-Oriented Ruby, Cucumber, and Cypress frameworks.
• Enhance and extend existing test automation frameworks.
• Execute automated and manual test cases throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze test results and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Provide test execution metrics, defect reporting, and project status updates.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure product quality.
• Contribute to QA process improvements, standards, and best practices.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in API testing.
• Strong experience with:

  • Test Automation Framework Development
  • API Testing
  • Jira
  • Confluence
• Experience testing:
  • Web Applications
  • Web Services/APIs
  • Databases
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
• Experience leading QA initiatives and mentoring team members.
