About The Position
Full-Time, Salary Exempt
As the sole, dedicated Android Developer at TeamSideline, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions for Android. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, and ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong background (5+ years) in software development and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities associated with this role are:
- Coding and Programming: Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin. Design, develop, and test. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Develop software solutions compliant with enterprise architecture, process, procedures, and protocol.
- Testing: Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and troubleshoot issues in existing code. Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance software functionality.
- Strategic Decision Making: Identify and communicate strategic technology standards, frameworks, principles, and roadmaps to be used throughout the company.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive user interfaces.
- Documentation: Document written code, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Skills & Qualifications
The key skills associated with this role are:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of programming languages such as Kotlin, C#, and SQL.
- Android Expertise: Experience building Android applications with Kotlin in production environments and developing modern Android UI using Jetpack Compose.
- Development Lifecycle: Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Tools & Architecture: Experience with version control systems (Git), RESTful APIs, web services, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Experience: 3-5 years of Android programming experience and 3-5 years of triaging, debugging, and monitoring automated tests.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical mindset, time management, adaptability, and a team-oriented work ethic.

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000 USD per year.
