Description of Services
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires a Cloud Solutions Architect 3 to lead cloud computing initiatives and direct architectural aspects of a cloud brokering team. You will be responsible for planning and engineering cloud infrastructure and applications, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
You will support a regulated, multi-cloud enterprise environment, requiring expertise in data/AI platforms, vendor coordination, monitoring, and 24x7 operations, while ensuring security, compliance, and system reliability.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (8+ Years Experience)
- Multi-Cloud Platform Expertise (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- GenAI & Enterprise AI Platform Knowledge (Gemini, Vertex AI)
- Expertise in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, GCP Cloud Monitoring, and logging frameworks
- Experience using Logstash for log ingestion, transformation, and integration
- Ability to design alerting solutions using Twilio for ETL failures and operational notifications
- Experience with Blob Storage, Data Lakes, and structured storage systems
- Hands-on experience supporting data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics workloads
- Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS), Secure Agents, APIs, and integration patterns
- Strong implementation of IAM (least privilege), network security, audit logging, and compliance (FedRAMP/regulated environments)
- Ability to support Tier 2/3 issues, debug logs, resolve platform access issues, and maintain production stability
Preferred Qualifications (3+ Years Experience)
- Familiarity building and managing Tableau Cloud environments
- Experience integrating ArcGIS or geospatial data systems
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) and automation (serverless, CI/CD)
- Exposure to GKE, AKS, Docker, and microservices
- Familiarity with data mesh, ETL/ELT architectures, and API integrations
- Strong analytical thinking for architectural decision-making
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership of platform stability and reliability
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
