The Opportunity

This role is a leadership position responsible for managing multiple consulting and delivery projects and teams/programs, with a specific focus on delivering Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions. You will provide consulting and delivery assurance of services for clients through a range of internal and external functions. This role is distinguished by managing engagements and programs with deal sizes ranging from $2-5M. You will be expected to perform all duties related to consulting/delivery management, including resource management, deliverables development, project planning and execution, adherence to contract attributes and costing, customer interaction, and other key aspects of solution-based managed services.

These engagements will typically be delivered to North American customers or at the customer's location, usually in North America. You should possess skills required for complex deliverable-based, fully outsourced, or extremely large-scale engagements or programs, and lead the delivery effort for larger cross-functional projects/programs. This role may require up to 25% travel.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Cloud Services, primarily on AWS, Microservices, and Serverless architectures, Cloud Native Development, CI/CD and DevOps, presales, delivery, and operational excellence. You will provide expert-level support for strategic ongoing and new TGS client initiatives. You will collaborate with key partners to develop robust cloud offerings and deliver holistic solutions across TGS Enterprise Modernization's strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Delivery Support

  • Drive the transition phase for new engagements.
  • Set up the engagement operating model.
  • Help define metrics.
  • Support the delivery of defined statements of work.

Engagement Leadership

  • Create technical architectures for complex cloud systems.
  • Lead implementation teams.
  • Perform hands-on implementation tasks and delegate other tasks.
  • Guide the creation and delivery of project deliverables, ensuring they meet client requirements.
  • Ensure the implementation team maintains a shared vision of engagement goals.

Client Interaction

  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the engagement.
  • Ensure client needs are met and address any issues.
  • Surface opportunities for further client engagement.

Additional Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Support

  • Support Solution Architects and Solution Executives with technical opinions, methodology recommendations, work estimates, and solution support.

Practice Support

  • Provide input, expertise, and implement changes into the design, development, and improvement of service offerings and back-office procedures.
  • Assist in the research and development of new offerings.
  • Analyze competing offerings to ensure practice competitiveness.
  • Create and maintain practice artifacts documenting key methods, processes, and delivery tools.

Human Resources

  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding project team members during the initial engagement phase.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other engineering or technical discipline.
  • 9+ years of experience in information technology and/or professional services, with emphasis on subject matter expertise.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect or equivalent role.
  • 5+ years of AWS services experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud migration.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microservices and Serverless technologies.
  • Strong track record of delivering projects of demonstrable complexity & scale.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS document processing services (e.g., Textract, Kendra, Bedrock Data Automation, Comprehend).
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS AI/ML services (e.g., BedRock, AgentCore, Amazon Q).
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS Data services (e.g., S3/Athena, RDS, Lake Formation, Glue, RedShift, EMR).
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS services (e.g., ECS, EKS, Lambda, EventBridge, S3, DynamoDB, Systems Manager, API Gateway, ACM, Route53, Cloud Watch).
  • Experience with enterprise AWS services (e.g., Organizations, Control Tower, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect).
  • Experience with strategizing and solution migration of legacy enterprise applications (Lift & Shift/Code Refactoring).
  • Ability to lead adoption and mentor team members on modern DevOps and architectural concepts.
  • Experience with source code and software collaboration technologies (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Artifactory).
  • Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, preferably in Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge in container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native frameworks.
  • Strong hands-on scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Some knowledge of one application programming language (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript/Node.js).
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalling.
  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
  • Ability to work remotely with team members across different time zones and regions.
  • Ability to identify and address potential design or architecture issues and work with uncertainty.
  • Willingness to lead discussions and challenge technical and design decisions where standards or best practices are not met.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional-level AWS certification is mandatory.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's in Computer Science or other engineering or technical discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in information technology and/or professional services.
  • 8+ years of Cloud Architecture experience.
  • 8+ years of AWS experience.
  • 5+ years of cloud migration experience.
  • 5+ years of Microservices and serverless experience.
  • Prior success in automating real-world production environments using Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, or cloud-native equivalents.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in DevOps Technologies (CI/CD frameworks, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and logging frameworks).
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.

Certifications

  • Must have professional-level certifications in AWS Cloud.
  • Must have 1-2 associate-level certifications in AWS Cloud.

Job Type & Location

  • Permanent position.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $148,200.00 - $222,400.00/yr.
  • Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs (annual bonuses, profit sharing, etc.).
