Cash Poster (Remote -- Healthcare)
Pay: $22--$24/hour
Schedule: Monday--Friday, 40 hours/week
Hours: First shift (8:00 AM--4:30 PM) with some flexibility
Location: Fully Remote (Equipment Provided)
Contract Length: 120 days (with potential for extension or conversion)
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Cash Poster to join a fast‑paced healthcare revenue cycle team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely posting of high‑volume patient and insurance payments while collaborating with billing teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure clean reconciliation. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting a nationally distributed team.

What You'll Do
- Accurately post high volumes of patient and insurance payments, adjustments, and, refunds using electronic files, paper remittances, and credit cards
- Reconcile payments daily against remittances and batch totals; maintain balancing spreadsheets
- Identify billing, coding, or reimbursement issues and escalate as appropriate
- Support branch and internal teams with questions related to payment application
- Maintain detailed cash application reports and documentation
- Ensure strict confidentiality and full compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations
- Meet productivity and quality benchmarks while working independently in a remote setting
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of cash applications experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical billing environment
- Hands‑on experience working with EOBs and payer remittances
- Comfortable managing high volumes of cash posting and daily balancing
- Proficiency using a 10‑key and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fully remote environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Waystar or Arrow billing software

- Fully remote team; department leadership is based in New York

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
