Job Summary

BCBS is seeking a COBOL Programmer Analyst for a remote contract position. All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis, and no sponsorship is available. A strong background in BCBS applications is mandatory.

Required Experience

  • BCBS Applications/Integrations: ITS
  • Recent ITS Experience: Version 10.0 or newer, preferably within the last 5 years.
  • COBOL Development: Strong mainframe COBOL development skills.
  • BlueCard Program Understanding: Knowledge of Host & Home models, and ITS/Blue2 interaction.

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • BlueCard Modernization experience
  • Familiarity with ANSI claim transactions (837, 835, 276, 277)
  • SCLM (IBM Software Configuration & Library Manager)
  • DB2, AQT, MQ
  • Experience with on-prem ITS databases (non-PlanConnexion environments)
  • BMC Control-M/R (mainframe scheduler)

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00/hr
