  • Semantic modeling and Power BI integration strategy

Define scalable patterns for:

  • Incremental processing and change data capture (CDC)

  • Establish platform standards and best practices to support long-term scalability

Data Engineering & Integration

Lead implementation of:

  • Fabric Pipelines

Partner with stakeholders across business and technology teams to:

  • Gather and structure data requirements
  • Define canonical POS data models
  • Translate business needs into scalable data products
  • Validate and map AutoLeap source data to target data structures

Data Quality, Testing & Validation

Define and execute robust validation frameworks including:

  • Data reconciliation against legacy systems
  • Completeness and accuracy checks
  • Performance and SLA validation
  • Develop formal testing strategies and acceptance criteria

Leadership & Enablement

  • Act as a technical leader and advisor across the organization
  • Mentor and upskill internal teams through pair programming and solution design sessions
  • Document frameworks and patterns
  • Drive alignment across engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Core Experience

  • 7-12+ years in data engineering, architecture, or platform roles
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Fabric Pipelines, Spark / PySpark notebooks, and Semantic models/Power BI
  • Strong experience with modern data architectures: Lakehouse patterns, Medallion architecture, and distributed data processing

Technical Expertise

  • Experience with API-based ingestion and relational data sources (Postgres preferred)
  • Designing enterprise data models and data products
  • Hybrid data ecosystems (analytics + operational integrations)
  • Familiarity with Azure data ecosystem, data governance/lineage tools, and performance optimization at scale

Domain & Delivery Experience

  • Experience working with transaction-heavy systems (POS, retail, franchise, automotive, or similar)
  • Proven success leading system-of-record data migrations or platform transformations
  • Experience supporting both internal analytics/reporting and external data distribution

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills across technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Comfortable balancing roles as architect, hands-on builder, and mentor/educator
