Description

Leads the design, engineering, and lifecycle management of enterprise Windows endpoint solutions, with a focus on modern device management, security, and user experience using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and related technologies. Citrix experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
  • Lead Windows Autopilot provisioning strategies for zero-touch deployments.
  • Develop and maintain:
    • Device configuration profiles
    • Compliance policies
    • Security baselines
  • Engineer and maintain application deployment strategies, including Win32 apps, MSIX, and Microsoft 365 Apps.
  • Define and implement modern workplace architecture for endpoints (cloud-managed and hybrid).
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve device lifecycle management, performance, and user experience.
  • Provide architectural guidance on identity integration with Azure AD (Entra ID).

Security & Compliance

  • Implement endpoint security controls, including Conditional Access, device compliance policies, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint integration.
  • Partner with security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Automation & Optimization

  • Automate deployment and management processes using PowerShell and Intune scripting.
  • Continuously improve endpoint provisioning and support processes.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across Windows OS, device enrollment (Autopilot / Intune), and application deployment issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex endpoint and device issues.

Optional / Preferred - Citrix

  • Support and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Collaborate on hybrid endpoint strategies involving virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as technical lead on endpoint engineering initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and documentation of endpoint processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • 7-10+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on Windows endpoint engineering.
  • Deep expertise in: Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot, Azure AD (Entra ID).
  • Strong knowledge of: Windows 11 configuration and troubleshooting, endpoint security and compliance frameworks, scripting and automation (PowerShell).

Preferred

  • Group Policy and transition to modern management.
  • Hybrid Azure AD join and co-management (SCCM).
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence decisions.
  • Effective communication across technical and business teams.

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI. This is a fully remote position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $80.00/hr.
