Description
The Core Systems Analyst will provide technical and project leadership to a team of core system analysts in configuring and developing solutions within the core financial system to help business lines. The incumbent will work with key business areas through an understanding of system application knowledge and business operational workflows to maximize the core financial system's potential and use, all while supporting Information Technology operations.
The incumbent will provide input in the evaluation of new products and services and recommend action in pursuit of improved performance or changes to existing products and/or services to better aid operations, end-users, and/or members, as it relates to the core financial application.
Under limited supervision, the incumbent will design complex multi-system capabilities to meet the needs of the business and make recommendations in areas that require a high level of technical competency. The incumbent must possess excellent diplomacy and communication skills as well as a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.

Essential Job Duties
- Analyzes, develops, and writes functional specifications for complex application systems supporting Credit Union business processes.
- Researches and analyzes application systems to develop an understanding of internal and/or external customer business requirements related to the core financial system.
- Assists other Core System Analyst team members in the research and development of tactical and strategic system solutions for existing system performance issues as well as applications for new systems.
- Performs as a subject matter expert and develops an understanding of internal and/or external customer business requirements as it relates to the core financial system and core ancillary applications.
- Collects and/or reviews requirements from business owners and/or Information Technology persons to develop and deliver solutions using core financial applications' functionality.
- Performs maintenance support and report writing to support end-user requests.
- Develops testing requirements for applications programs and assists in change management controls of the production environment.
- Investigates, implements, and maintains correction and lead recovery processes and activities for the application or data.
- Assists in training, leading, and providing technical guidance to professional and technical staff assigned to core system operations analysts; acts as a lead when assigned by management for peers and/or subordinate core system analyst team members on assigned projects.
- Assists in leading the development of procedure and training documentation to support the Core System Operations team to better assist them in executing their day-to-day operations.
- Works with team members individually and collectively to help obtain any certifications or education requirements.
- Acts as a resource to the organization in software problem resolution.
Requirements
- There are periods when extended hours are required to meet deadlines, and the incumbent will be "on call" for system problems encountered at any time (24 hours per day, 7 days per week).

Knowledge & Skills
- Required: In-depth knowledge of the Miser core banking system.
- Advanced principles and practices of project management and workflow analysis.
- In-depth working knowledge of the system development life cycle.
- A broad range of operations, services, concepts, terms, and activities common to a comprehensive, state-of-the-art information systems program.
- In-depth working knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in designing, developing, testing, and implementing.
- In-depth working knowledge of software applications development principles, Microsoft operating systems, and Office applications.
- High level of analytic ability and ability to use independent judgment.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and apply common software and system development requirements into functional design documents.
- Capable of performing application administration to system files, parameter settings, software configuration tables, and database edits.
Job Type & Location
This is a contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL. This is a fully remote position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
