We are seeking a high-impact Data Analyst to support our enterprise Tech Debt Remediation Program. This role is critical to transforming fragmented infrastructure, application, and software data into clear, actionable insights that drive risk-based prioritization and executive decision-making.
The ideal candidate is not just a report builder—they are someone who can understand complex data relationships, identify gaps, and translate findings into meaningful actions that accelerate risk reduction and improve overall technology health.
Key Responsibilities
Data Aggregation & Analysis
Build and maintain a centralized dataset combining:
- Business applications
- Servers and operating systems
- Software inventory and lifecycle (EOL/EOS)
- Ownership and organizational mapping
Reconcile and validate multiple data sources (e.g., CMDB, software inventory tools, Excel datasets, vulnerability data).
Risk & Prioritization Modeling
Develop risk-based prioritization models to identify:
- Internet-facing exposure
- End-of-life (EOL) risk
- Attack surface concentration
Support tranche-based remediation planning aligned to enterprise risk reduction goals.
Reporting & Visualization
Design and maintain advanced Excel models and dashboards:
- Automated refresh and transformation (Power Query preferred)
- Pivot-driven analysis by BU, LOB, Application, Owner, Criticality
Enable clear drilldowns from executive summaries to detailed datasets.
Data Quality & Governance
Identify and remediate data quality issues in enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow CMDB):
- Missing ownership
- Incomplete CI relationships
- Inconsistent classifications
Partner with application and infrastructure teams to improve data accuracy.
Executive Reporting Support
Translate technical data into clear, concise executive outputs. Support reporting for stakeholders (CTO, CISO, Head of Infrastructure). Focus on clarity, accuracy, and actionability—no unnecessary noise.
AI & Automation Enablement
Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, analytics platforms) to:
- Accelerate data processing
- Identify patterns and anomalies
- Enhance insight generation and reporting efficiency
Skills

- Provide a single, trusted view of tech debt exposure.
- Enable prioritized, risk-driven remediation decisions.
- Improve data quality and reporting accuracy across enterprise systems.

This is a contract position. While based out of Cedar Rapids, IA, this is a fully remote role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
