Description
The Lead Observability Engineer is responsible for establishing best-in-class observability practices as an expert in creating solutions using Dyna-Trace and other monitoring platforms.
- End-to-end execution and implementation of Dynatrace solutions in a complex customer environment
- Document design and implementation decisions in an effective manner for knowledge management
- Cross-train peers with tool usage
- Drive the creation of best practices
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, SMEs, and business advocates to drive enterprise solutions
- Present and demonstrate Application Performance Management solutions to peers, other teams, and leadership
- Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Hands-on expertise with other monitoring tools like Solarwinds, Splunk etc.
- Ability to build application metrics and dashboards
- Ability to interface with high-level application owners
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience building solutions using Dyna-Trace (preferably in a SaaS tenant, AWS preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent experience
- Experience owning/independently managing enterprise observability solutions
- Experience with configuration and customization of Dynatrace that includes integration with other tools
- Experience with admin-level tasks - Alert configuration, Maintenance windows, Anomaly detection, changing thresholds, Custom event creation, Business Events (bizevents), request attributes, OneAgent upgrade/install
- Knowledge of ITIL concepts and principles
- Familiarity with Azure, Service-Now, SolarWinds, Splunk, Databricks, and Agile a plus
