Description

The Lead Observability Engineer is responsible for establishing best-in-class observability practices as an expert in creating solutions using Dyna-Trace and other monitoring platforms.

  • End-to-end execution and implementation of Dynatrace solutions in a complex customer environment
  • Document design and implementation decisions in an effective manner for knowledge management
  • Cross-train peers with tool usage
  • Drive the creation of best practices
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, SMEs, and business advocates to drive enterprise solutions
  • Present and demonstrate Application Performance Management solutions to peers, other teams, and leadership
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
  • Hands-on expertise with other monitoring tools like Solarwinds, Splunk etc.
  • Ability to build application metrics and dashboards
  • Ability to interface with high-level application owners

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience building solutions using Dyna-Trace (preferably in a SaaS tenant, AWS preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent experience
  • Experience owning/independently managing enterprise observability solutions
  • Experience with configuration and customization of Dynatrace that includes integration with other tools
  • Experience with admin-level tasks - Alert configuration, Maintenance windows, Anomaly detection, changing thresholds, Custom event creation, Business Events (bizevents), request attributes, OneAgent upgrade/install
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts and principles
  • Familiarity with Azure, Service-Now, SolarWinds, Splunk, Databricks, and Agile a plus
