Web Developer

Description

This is a contract-to-hire position, with the intent to transition to a permanent role shortly after the 6-month mark. The target salary post-conversion is in the mid-to-upper $80K range.

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer with over 3 years of experience in Application Modernization to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to the modernization of the Delivery Operations Information System (DOIS). You will focus on creating a seamless, responsive web experience using modern technologies and AI tools like GitHub Copilot.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern frameworks like Angular or React.
• Implement front-end solutions that are mobile-responsive and compliant with Section 508 Accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate prototypes into interactive, functional web pages.
• Utilize AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, for code generation, refactoring, and optimization.
• Ensure applications are secure, performant, and scalable by following industry best practices.
• Integrate front-end components with back-end services via REST APIs.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure cross-browser compatibility and device responsiveness.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews).
• Work with developers, business analysts, and testers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Design and maintain end-to-end reporting solutions by integrating visualization tools with back-end data systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Desired: AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer).
• Experience: Previous work in a USPS or federal IT environment.
• Tools: Experience with Version One Agile Lifecycle Management.
• Security: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Requires a thorough Government background screening.
• Residency: Must meet specific U.S. residency requirements for the last 5 years.
