Job Summary
This is a 12-month contract position for a Content Designer specializing in Wealth, focusing on UX/CX. This role is not for a copywriter. The position requires 3 days onsite in Chicago, IL, with a 40-hour work week.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 4 years working on a UX team as a Content Designer or UX Writer.
- Specialization: Content Design experience specific to UX/CX.
- Portfolio: Required, with password-protected access available on your resume.
- Industry Focus: Priority given to candidates with Wealth experience, followed by Banking, Insurance, and other related fields.
- Work Arrangement: 3 days onsite in Chicago, IL. 100% remote is not an option. C2C arrangements are not accepted.
Role and Responsibilities
The Content Designer will shape clear, intuitive, and human-centered content for advisor- and client-facing digital experiences. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will collaborate closely with product, design, and development teams to:
- Define and structure content for clarity, usability, and alignment with user needs.
- Develop content frameworks, patterns, and guidelines for scalable, consistent experiences.
- Write and refine user-facing copy, microcopy, error messages, and flows within Figma and product environments.
- Partner with product owners, UX designers, researchers, and design teams to deliver cohesive experiences.
- Present work, articulating problem spaces, decisions, and outcomes.
- Apply and contribute to the design system, ensuring accessibility, consistency, and quality.
- Operate independently in an evolving and ambiguous environment.

- Pay Rate: $50.00 - $60.00/hr (W2, paid weekly)
