TekSystems is currently hiring for a FULLY REMOTE Medical Customer Service/Medical Billing Representative! This position is on EST and would prefer someone to live somewhat close to MD.
Requirements
- Must have medical claims, medical billing, or medical customer service with billing knowledge experience.
- MUST understand EOB's (Explanation of Benefits).
- Must be able to work EST time zone.
- Must have an Associates or Bachelors degree; CPAT certification is a plus.
- Requires detailed working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in multiple payers application billing and/or collection processes.
- Must understand what medical insurance is and know how to explain what insurance does.
- Must have excellent patient customer service experience.
- Need to fully understand the medical billing process.
Description
Responds to customer inquiries regarding patient accounts, assists in resolving issues and concerns. Maintains professional and courteous behavior to ensure positive image within the community served and to promote customer satisfaction. Assists management with the training of new hires.
They will be going over billing issues and EOB's with patients that are calling in over the phone. They will need to understand what an EOB is, be able to describe what the insurance company has paid, and what they owe as well.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD. This is a fully remote position.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
