Job Description
TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Senior Endpoint Migration Engineer to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team. This role supports DOD Agencies and Field Activities (DAFAs) in migrating their endpoints to the modern DODNet environment. The engineer will collaborate with DAFA system administrators to ensure endpoint migrations are thoroughly tested, documented, and provide a positive user experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Endpoint Migration Preparation and Testing
- Collaborate with the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) team to verify correct application and Intune policy deployment on DAFA networks and representative endpoint devices.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for the entire endpoint migration process using representative DAFA hardware.
- Document test results, identify findings, and communicate them to the UEM team for resolution.
- Continuously test the endpoint migration process on representative devices through phased testing cycles to identify and escalate issues to the UEM team before DAFA user migration.
- Communicate with DAFA technical experts and stakeholders to gather feedback, identify improvements, and ensure a clear understanding of the migration process and expectations.
Support and Troubleshooting
- Act as the primary technical liaison between DAFA users and the UEM team, ensuring clear communication, documentation, and escalation of identified issues.
- Troubleshoot endpoint connectivity, software deployment, and patching issues across distributed environments.
Documentation and Training
- Assist the UEM team in maintaining up-to-date documentation for systems, applications, and the endpoint migration process.
- Facilitate information sessions for DAFAs to ensure consistent understanding of the migration process and set realistic user expectations.
- Grow the solution and team to support DoD Fourth Estate with a targeted community of 400k users.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Expertise with Microsoft Intune, MECM, SCCM, and/or other endpoint configuration technologies.
- Expertise with virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI): Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon, Amazon Workspace, or other platforms.
- Experience managing engineering teams, including mentoring and fostering communication.
- Experience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC), utilizing CI/CD tools, and leveraging automation platforms (e.g., Ansible, Azure Functions).
- Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Ability to work effectively within a distributed technical team, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Current IAT Level II (or higher) Certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).

Pay and Benefits
- Pay Range: $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
