Junior Security Analyst
TEKsystems is seeking a Junior Security Analyst for a higher-education client in Norman, OK. This entry-level, contract-to-hire position offers a stable environment with strong career progression opportunities. Required Skills & Experience
- Junior or entry-level information security experience.
- Minimum experience:
- 2+ years with a Bachelor's degree, OR
- 4+ years of relevant experience without a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience does not need to be in a specific security specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and network activity for suspicious behavior.
- Assist with identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks.
- Support responses to security alerts, incidents, and potential breaches.
- Help implement, maintain, and update security policies, controls, and tools.
- Ensure security systems and software (e.g., firewalls, encryption tools) are up to date.
- Monitor system access and maintain security logs.
- Conduct vulnerability testing, risk assessments, and security audits.
- Assist with penetration testing of networks, systems, and web applications.
- Analyze security incidents to determine root causes and support updates to incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Coordinate security efforts with third-party vendors.
- Assist with developing security procedures and training employees on security awareness.
- Perform additional duties as needed.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits
- Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
