Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of Short-Term Disability (STD) and Leave of Absence processes within the FINEOS claims management system. This role partners closely with operations, compliance, and technology teams to audit workflows, identify defects, and drive continuous process improvement for an insurance client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality reviews of STD and Leave cases processed within the FINEOS platform to ensure adherence to client policies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
  • Evaluate claim adjudication, documentation, and system updates for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Identify trends, defects, and root causes; provide actionable feedback and recommendations to operations teams.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and system administrators to validate FINEOS system enhancements, configurations, and releases.
  • Develop and maintain QA scorecards, reporting dashboards, and audit documentation.
  • Support training initiatives by sharing quality findings and best practices with claims and leave specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state leave regulations (e.g., FMLA) and disability guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Quality Assurance within insurance, disability, or leave administration environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Short-Term Disability (STD) and Leave of Absence processes.
  • Hands-on experience with the FINEOS system or similar claims management platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. This is a fully remote position.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
