Job Summary
The Referral and Authorization Specialist is responsible for ensuring patients have been cleared for specialty service office visits. This includes obtaining and issuing referrals for ancillary, consult, radiology, or lab visits, and receiving approvals for medication formularies, durable medical equipment, home health care, and other necessary items or services.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM PST.
- A set 8-hour shift will be scheduled within this timeframe.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience in patient registration, scheduling, referrals, and prior authorization (excluding pharmacy referrals).
- Call center and Medical Assistant (MA) experience are a plus.
- Required experience includes medical terminology, insurance verification, insurance benefit knowledge, referral processing, and authorization.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be located in Arizona or Nevada.

- Based out of Las Vegas, NV.
- This is a fully remote position.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
