Role Overview
As a Spanish Medical Interpreter, you will serve as a critical communication link by:
- Providing real-time interpretation between patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Accurately conveying medical terminology, including anatomy, prescriptions, and procedures
- Ensuring patients fully understand their care, treatment plans, and next steps
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all privacy regulations
- Supporting both verbal communication and occasional written translations
- Delivering high-quality interpretation in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
- 2+ years of medical interpretation experience preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Completion of a medical interpretation competency test
- Ability to obtain one of the following certifications within 2 years (if not already obtained):
- Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI)
- Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI)
Schedule & Work Environment
- 100% Remote (Must reside in Colorado)
- Monday -- Friday | 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM
- Structured, supportive environment with clear expectations
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pueblo, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $36.00/hr.
