Job Title: QA Engineer -- Robot Framework
Location: Bangalore
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days/Week from Office)
Experience: 5+ Years
Budget: Up to ₹1 LPM (₹12 LPA)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in Robot Framework Automation and exceptional troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation testing, production issue analysis, and debugging. The role requires the ability to independently own testing activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Candidates with prior experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) domain will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Robot Framework.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Troubleshoot application issues, analyze logs, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
- Execute manual and automated test cases while ensuring quality standards.
- Validate data using SQL queries and perform backend testing where required.
- Work in Unix/Linux environments for log analysis and basic system operations.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, defect tracking, and release validation.
- Own assigned modules/features and ensure timely delivery with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
Required SkillsTroubleshooting (Primary Skill -- 40% Weightage)
- Strong hands-on experience in debugging complex application issues.
- Ability to independently identify root causes and resolve production or application issues.
- Experience with log analysis and defect investigation.
Robot Framework Automation (Must Have -- 20% Weightage)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
- Experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automation scripts.
- Good understanding of automation frameworks and test execution strategies.
Unix/Linux
- Basic hands-on experience with Linux/Unix commands.
- Comfortable navigating directories, checking logs, and performing basic troubleshooting.
SQL
- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
- Knowledge of joins, filtering, and data validation.
- Advanced PL/SQL knowledge is not required.
Python (Good to Have)
- Basic understanding of Python programming.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the BFSI/Financial Services domain.
- Experience owning a complete module or feature from testing through delivery.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
