Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, and system infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and support hardware and software systems
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance
  • Ensure system security through implementation of best practices, monitoring tools, and compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT operations and business needs
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently residing in the United States
  • Valid U.S. work authorization (citizen, permanent resident, or authorized work permit holder)
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Proficiency in networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator)
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices

Work Environment

  • Fully remote role with flexible scheduling options
  • Must be available to work within U.S. business hours
  • Occasional on-call or after-hours support may be required
