Compensation: $55-60/h
Requirements
- 7+ years mainframe development (COBOL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, JCL)
- Experience with IBM MQ (messaging/integration)
- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture (batch + online processing)
- Experience with data migration and legacy system modernization
- Ability to read, analyze, and enhance legacy codebases
- Experience integrating mainframe systems with modern platforms (Oracle preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support migration from PeopleSoft to Oracle with focus on mainframe integration
- Analyze and modify existing COBOL programs and legacy systems
- Build and support integrations between mainframe and Oracle systems
- Work across batch and online processing environments
- Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system transition
Nice to Have
- Experience with Oracle Database
- Experience with large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives
