The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, and we are currently seeking a Payroll & Prevailing Wage Coordinator for a prominent client. This position is 100% REMOTE.

Position Details

  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Schedule: Standard Business Hours
  • Pay Rate: Up to $30/hour
  • Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll and wage compliance data. This role will work with Excel reports, review payroll information for accuracy, identify and resolve discrepancies, and submit required documentation through state and customer portals.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers, sensitive employee data, and detailed multi-step processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and review Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll data.
  • Review payroll information to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Manage and update daily Microsoft Excel reports.
  • Review data for errors, discrepancies, and missing information.
  • Research issues and escalate questions when additional guidance is needed.
  • Submit required payroll and compliance documentation through state and customer portals.
  • Maintain accurate records and protect confidential employee and payroll information.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide support based on workload needs.
  • Assist with process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll, certified payroll, prevailing wage, wage compliance, or a related area.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and data validation.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data.
  • Ability to follow detailed, multi-step processes accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Direct experience with Certified Payroll or Prevailing Wage.
  • Experience with payroll compliance or wage-related reporting.
  • Experience submitting documentation through government, state, or customer portals.
  • Experience working with large Excel reports or payroll datasets.
