JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an intern to help our communications team embark on a new, more visual chapter. The Multimedia Design Intern will visually enhance the organization's content to inform our audiences and drive engagement. The intern will create graphics, reels, and longer explanatory videos for social media. The intern will also help improve the website and the design of the organization's reports.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Creating graphics, animations, and videos for the organization's communications platforms
  • Designing physical deliverables such as promotional materials and reports
  • Devising new workflows to streamline content production

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Passionate about designing graphics, animations, and videos that inform and drive engagement
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and InDesign
  • Well-organized self-starter who can work with little supervision
  • Creative, curious, and willing to learn new skills
  • Detail- and deadline-oriented

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current college student or recent graduate
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

This is an unpaid internship offering practical experience and the chance to make a tangible impact on free-speech advocacy. In certain cases, qualified candidates may be eligible for a modest scholarship to support their work.

You may be eligible to receive academic credit through your university. While The Future of Free Speech cannot manage or coordinate the academic credit process, we are happy to assist by completing any required evaluations, verifying internship hours, and providing other documentation requested by your institution.
