Business Analyst (Level II)
Location: San Diego, CA 92123 | Hybrid Role Schedule: Monday--Thursday: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM (Onsite); Friday: Remote Contract: 12 months with possibility of extension
We're seeking a Level II Business Analyst to support Energy Efficiency and Discount Programs in a collaborative, hybrid work setting.
Role Overview
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams, gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into clear functional and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, workflow analysis, and use cases.
- Translate complex business needs into clear and actionable system and process requirements.
- Analyze inputs from multiple sources to ensure accurate understanding of client objectives.
- Support and contribute to program and project execution.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support:
- Energy Efficiency Program
- Discount Programs
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and help lead discussions or workstreams as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2--5 years of experience as a:
- Business Analyst
- Program Manager / Program Specialist
- Program Support Analyst
- Junior Project Manager
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze business needs and document requirements.
- Experience working in cross‑functional, client‑facing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Program or project management experience.
- Background working in regulated environments or utilities.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent years of experience).
