About The Nordstick
The Nordstick makes innovative home fitness equipment, and we're growing triple digits year over year. We're a small, fast-moving team that wins on product and execution, not headcount or process. We've proven the product and the demand --- now we're building the retention and creator engine that compounds it. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership and the room to build something from the ground up, reporting directly to the founder with no layers in between.
The role in one line
Own our owned channels (email SMS), own affiliate and its profitability, and partner with our team to build a creator flywheel that turns product seeding and affiliate into a compounding, ROI-positive growth machine.
We mean flywheel, not funnel. Outreach feeds creative, creative feeds performance data, performance data feeds smarter outreach --- every loop should make the next one cheaper and better. If you build it right, it spins faster over time with less push. That's the job.
What you'll own
- Email & SMS, end to end --- strategy, calendar, flows, segmentation, list health, and the revenue these channels are accountable for. You set the roadmap and you're on the hook for the number.
- Affiliate profitability --- not just recruiting affiliates and chasing volume, but owning contribution margin after commission and product cost. You'll know which partners actually make us money and which just look busy.
- The creator flywheel --- sourcing and outreach, product seeding, briefing, white-label creative, performance review, and feeding what you learn back into who we work with next. You'll build the loop and keep it spinning with our team.
- Channel orchestration --- making email, SMS, affiliate, and creator content work as one system instead of fighting over the same customer's attention and budget.
What success looks like
- First 30 days: You've audited every flow, the affiliate program, and our current creator efforts, and you've come back with a prioritized list of where money is being left on the table.
- First 90 days: Owned channels have a clear roadmap and improving revenue, the affiliate program is being measured on real profitability, and the first version of the creator flywheel is live and producing.
- First year: The flywheel is compounding --- creator outreach, seeding, and affiliate are demonstrably more efficient than when you started, and owned channels are a reliable, growing revenue line.
You're probably right for this if
- You've been in the weeds --- at an agency, a fast DTC brand, or both --- actually building programs, not just managing dashboards or handing off to a team.
- You think in systems and loops, and you have strong, defensible opinions about what's worth doing and what's a waste of time and budget.
- You can tell a genuinely profitable creator from one with good-looking numbers, and you understand why most product seeding fails --- and how to make it not.
- You've killed something that was working because something better existed, and you can explain why.
- You're comfortable owning a number and reporting directly to a founder who'll move fast with you.
Tools
Experience with a modern ESP/SMS platform (Klaviyo or similar), affiliate/creator platforms, and the analytics to actually measure profitability rather than vanity metrics.
